Crisis Safety Policy

Last updated: March 1, 2026

โš ๏ธ awfx.ai is NOT a crisis service. We do not monitor journal entries or AI conversations for signs of crisis. If you are in danger, please use the resources above immediately.

Our Commitment to Safety

We take the safety of our users seriously. While awfx.ai is a wellness and reflection tool โ€” not a crisis service โ€” we recognize that people who journal about their mental health may sometimes be in distress. Here is what we do to prioritize your safety:

What We Do

  • Crisis resources are always accessible โ€” in the header, footer, sidebar, and settings of our app, and on every public page. No login required.
  • Clear disclaimers โ€” we state clearly that we are not a therapy or crisis service.
  • AI safety guardrails โ€” our AI Companion is instructed to surface crisis resources when it detects language that may indicate distress.
  • Community moderation โ€” Community Circles are moderated to prevent self-harm encouragement.
  • No gatekeeping โ€” crisis resources are never behind a paywall, login screen, or any barrier.

What We Do NOT Do

  • We do not monitor your journal entries for signs of crisis
  • We do not provide crisis intervention or emergency response
  • We do not contact emergency services on your behalf
  • We do not have trained crisis counselors on staff
  • We do not guarantee the AI will correctly identify crisis situations

If You See Someone in Crisis

If you encounter content in Community Circles that suggests someone may be in danger:

  • Encourage them to call 988 or text HOME to 741741
  • Report the content using the in-app reporting feature
  • Do not attempt to provide clinical advice
  • If you believe someone is in immediate danger, call 911
